The Hormonas plays a particular style of rock' n' roll, raw and approximative.
Anarchists and restless by nature, selfs-taught and pragmatic for conviction, within the songs of the Hormonas can be felt influences of a lotsa of afro-american music-based styles:
Blues, rockabilly, old time country, punk rock, garage, psycho-trashabilly, all played at the minimum speed of 130 bpm. They screwed purism, playing the music they do because they can't play nothin' better than that.
Rock n roll is bastard music based on a pragmatic making.
Istinct is the basic.
The Hormonas follows some musical rules but they fuck with them often.
And they love it.
From 1999 ‘till today The Hormonas have made a hundred of concerts here and there, between Venice – their home town - to Cagliari, travelling Italy from the cold mountains of Sud Tirol in the north to the deep south in Avellino and Cosenza; In Europe they like to remember the gigs in Dijon, Bruxelles, Bern, Varsaw and London.
Their goal is to end concerts in a party of noise and alcoholic confusion, with the audience who takes part to the show invading the stage or playing the instruments they abandons in the meantime they go to the bar havin' a tequila (or a beer).
This is briefly what the Hormonas are, now it's up to you to find out how they sounds.
